Summer Days | Jen McMurtrey

Hello Studio Forty Friends! It's Jen today with two spreads in my travelers notebook that document two of my recent summer activities using the Here & There collection. When I put these together, I was out of town and had only a few supplies and the collection of papers and embellishments with me. It was fun to create using only the basics and getting back to crafting old school.

First up is this spread that documents our visit to a new public market near our hometown. Since I had limited supplies, the layout is very simple.

When putting this story together, I used the Notebook Edition paper pad as the base for each page. On the left, I cut the 3x4-inch card from the 06 Patterned Paper and added hand-written journaling along with a chipboard sticker and die cut.

On the right side, I backed the photo with patterned paper from the paper pad and added chipboard stars and a transparent sticker.

The second spread features a photo of my recently-cleaned craft room, which took me a couple of weeks to complete. I had to be sure to take a photo before it's messed up again (I'm sure you can relate).

These two pages again use the Notebook Edition paper pad and minimal embellishments. The photo was printed in 4x6 format, backed with 04 Patterned Paper, and adhered across both pages. Along the top of the photo is a fussy cut element from the Journaling Cards that I stamped with the All Time Fave Stamp Set.

The right side features flowers that I fussy cut from patterned paper and embellished with a chipboard sticker and Best Summer Color Sticker. To complete the page, I added journaling below the photo.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. While today's projects are quite simple in nature, I hope you've been inspired to bust out those supplies and create. If you feel like shopping, remember to use code JENNIFER 10 at checkout to receive 10% off your order.

Have a great day!
