White Christmas | Jen McMurtrey

Hello friends! It's Jen today with two new projects using the beautiful Frosty Season collection.

First is a 12 x 12 layout I created to document last year's white Christmas, which was the first we'd had in quite a few years.

I love using digital die cuts on layouts and created the large bow with a Silhouette file I purchased several years ago. I first cut the bow using the Frosty Season - 01 patterned paper and then did an offset cut using Frosty Season 02. After cutting and assembling the bow, I adhered it to a piece of Frosty Season - 05 paper.

Once I was finished with the bow, I created tags using metal dies from my stash with more of the same patterned paper. I love the floral print so much and wanted to keep it the focal point of my layout.

On the left tag is a photo of our back field with the date that I added digitally and a Frosty Season - Chipboard Sticker. The second tag was made using a 3x4 Pocket Scrapbooking Card with Christmas Joy stamped in the center with the Holiday Cheer Stamp Set.

To complete the layout, I added a few chipboard stickers for more dimension along with a bit of journaling. I'm really loving how this project turned out!

Next is a card I created using a few of the scraps from my layout.

Again, I used the Silhouette cut file to create the bow. However, this time I cut it with white cardstock and then stamped Merry Christmas using the Holiday Cheer Stamp Set. I decided the bow needed a bit more color and added navy blue cardstock to the back of it. Before adhering the bow to the card front with foam squares, I twisted white twine in a circle and glued it in placed to add more texture.
I love creating holiday projects and had so much fun working with the Frosty Season Collection. Be sure to stop by the Studio Forty shop and grab these goodies while they are still in stock. Remember to use code JENNIFER10 at checkout to receive 10% off of your order.
