Hello NYC | Jen McMurtrey
Hello Studio Forty friends!
It's Jen today with a fun travel layout using the gorgeous new Here & There Collection, which is perfect for all of your travel-themed projects.
To begin, I selected several papers (Picnic Time, Go See Do, and Snail Mail) to use as the backdrop to my photo of the city and chose muted tones that don't detract from the picture. After machine stitching the patterned papers to white cardstock, I folded the edges upward and distressed them. Next, I splatted oxide inks onto the page.
When embellishing my project, I began by backing the photo with more patterned papers (ncluding the Notebook Edition Pad). Next, I selected several elements from the journaling cards, chipboard stickers, die cuts, and Best Summer Color Stickers.
For the journaling, I used the All Time Fave Stamp #163 to create boxes to write in as well as stamped sentiments to add above and below.
The title was created with dies from my stash.
I'm loving how this turned out and can't wait to document more of our fabulous adventure.
