December Daily with NORDICA Collection | Monika Pestrova
Hello everyone! Today - a couple of days before Christmas - I’m here with another inspiration for you. This time (who would expect that) I will show you my DIY December Daily album. I used the NORDICA collection as it’s so wintery and festive. So let’s have a look at my album - I will show you the cover I made and a few pages I managed to finish. Let's dive in!
I finished the first week of my DD album and as there are many photos, I try to write only some basic information about this project. I made the entire album on my own using cardboard, paper and a piece of faux leather on the outside cover and thinner cardboard and fabric to decorate the inner part of the cover. I used binder with six rings and attached it on the back cover. I decorated the coverr with some cut outs and a tree wrapped with a string.
As I don't really want to spend hours on this project, I was trying to keep it simple and quick. The title page is made from vellum. For the following pages I use either plastic pocket or I just use scrapbook paper.
I usually divide the album into four section - one for each advent sunday. So the first think I created was this divider saing (1. advent's sunday).
Next I used a pocket page as I had four photos from out trip. On every paper page I used hole enforcer, so holes don't go chewy when turning the pages.
I like to change sizes of the papers so it's interesting for a reader and to be honest it's a bit quicker than using big pages all the time. So it depends on the photo size.
Regarding to the text in my DD ... it's not a big deal and I don't write much text. Only when I find it necessary. Some photos just don't need any comment or text.
I used quiete a lot of die cuts from my Big Shot. Your pages are richer and it's something to add to your project.
I hope you caught some inspiration and I'm wishing you Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year 2021. Have a great holiday!
