Finding Joy Everyday | Jennifer McMurtrey

Hello friends! It's Jennifer today, and I am so excited to share my first projects as a new member of the Studio Forty creative team.

Let's take a look at the layout I created using the gorgeous, new Herbarium Collection.

When beginning this project, I used several of the Herbarium coordinating stamps with Distress Oxide Inks to create a floral "strip" across the page. Next, I used the same inks and added splatters throughout.

Next, I cut a piece of woodgrain patterned paper that is slightly narrower than the area in which I stamped. Before adhering the paper, I distressed each of the edges. On top of the woodgrain paper, I added several floral images cut from one piece of patterned paper. These have distressed edges as well as stamped sentiments.

My next step was to add two of the same photo on the layout. With the pictures in place, I embellished them using die cuts, stickers, and wood elements from the collection.

I really love how delicate the wood flowers are - they add the perfect touch to the layout.

Last, I added the date along the bottom of the photos and chipboard stars.

This collection is so beautiful and fun to work with -  so much so, I created a card to send to a friend.
This came together very quickly with two patterned papers, stamps, chipboard stickers, and die cuts.

Keeping the same theme from my layout going, I distressed the edges of the patterned papers before adhering them to the card front.

The card is so pretty with all of the delicate floral touches. This will be going out in the mail right away!

Thank you for visiting today, and I hope you've been inspired to create!

Be certain to visity the Studio Forty shop and get this lovely collection while supplies last!
