MIXED MEDIA BOOKMARKS/NICOLE MARTEL

Happy Monday friends! Today I am sharing mixed media bookmarks I created using my gel plate and a variety of pretty stamps from the shop! This bookmarks were super easy to make and fun! I put on some Bebe Rexha on my Itunes and just played for a few hours!

To begin, I used a palette knife to apply a dab of acrylic paint onto my gel plate and then I used a brayer to smooth out the paint onto the plate.

It won't look like there's a lot of paint, but you don't want to over saturate your plate with paint. A little goes a long way!

I used my Sizzix and metal bookplate dies to create a few bookmarks.

I placed the bookmark face down on the gel plate to lift the paint from the gel plate. I repeated this process using variety of acrylic paints.

Here are the bookmarks. I love the distress look of these!! Just wait until I add some stamps... So cool!

I used the Arrows and Strings stamp set to add the scribbled border around the bookmarks. I love this stamp set!

Next, I used the  Never Grow Up stamp set to stamp the rainbow image and "dream big" sentiment at the bottom of the bookmark.

To complete the bookmark, I added some gems, ribbon and the chipboard star.

I created the second bookmark using the Oh Baby Stamp Set and a few markers to color in the images. I love this one so much. Isn't this adorable?!

Thank you for stopping by today!! Hope you have a fabulous week!
