Mini album using Project Life cards | Piruletasdepapel

Hello Studio Forty friends! How are you? It's Nuria here today sharing with you a new project using the gorgeous Essentials Summer collection! I'm in love with this collection. Today we are going to create a mini album using Project Life cards. Let's get started!

The mini album is 7,5x10cm and has 6 pages, 4 tags and 4 vellum stars. First off we are going to choose 4 Project Life cards, either from the journaling cards set and/or the patterned paper 6. A couple of pieces of different patterned paper cut at PL size. Then, prepare 4 tags in different sizes (using a tag die set and small pieces of left patterned paper) and 4 vellum stars (different sizes as well).

We are also going to prepare the die cuts and the colour and transparent stickers from the collection. We adhere the stickers on a white cardstock and cut out all the images using the scissors. We'll use these pieces to decorate the pages of the mini album. I used a mint ring to attach all the pages and decorated it with several ties.

First page is preceded by a cluster of embellishments hanging: 'Sweet' and 'Summer Lovin' transparent stickers, a flower die cut, and a refreshment and geometric elements cut out from the PL cards, a tag and a vellum star. 'Snapshots' card is quite suitable as first page for this mini and then adding 'Summer Stories' makes the perfect title, don't you think? I created some extra volume cutting the camera out from another identical card and sticking it on the first 'Snapshots' card . I used the little black dots of the card as a pattern of embroidery.

This page is made with flowered patterned paper cut at PL size. I kept the decoration of this page quite simple, with lovely colour stickers from the collection, enamel dots and handsewing a little piece of flowered patterned paper in zigzag. Before this page there are two tags coordinated with this one.

The basic structure of this page is the same as the first one: the cluster of embellishments hanging has the mini tag 'Explore', a red square cut out from the PL cards with a fruity diecut, and a vellum star.

I cut out a van and glued it on a green lines card because that pattern remind me of a topographic map. A transparent sticker (I am here) and the 'adventure' die cut finalise this page.

I want to highlight the vellum stars: all are made the same. Different sets of stamps are stamped on vellum paper. Two of them have floral elements and a phrase. The third one has food elements stamped. And the last one, in the picture, was composed by 'super cool', 'location' and the location symbol. Then, the stamped vellum paper was cut with dies of different sizes and star form.

This ornamental page has a tag made with the black and white flowered patterned paper, decorated with a red triangle cut out from the PL cards, some delicious strawberries, white thread and some enamel dots

Another ornamental page with a tag. In this case, I used the negative of a star die. I sewed the hole with white thread and added coloured wooden beads, finalising the tag with the phrase 'Making memories'. The positive scrap of the die is part of the embellishment cluster of the following PL card.

One last pic to see the final star and how this mini ends.
