Round photos on scrapbooking layout | Janna Werner

Hello everyone, this is Janna. I am excited to share my first Studio 40 project with you, featuring the brand-new products from the beautiful Essentials collection. Please skip to the end of the post for shopping the supplies - make sure to use the code janna10 in the Studio Forty shop for a 10% discount! Now, let me share some thoughts on this layout.

Usually, I use square or rectangle photos on my pages, but for this page, I decided to add circle shaped ones instead. To me, they look friendlier than the ones with edges and apply a certain softness to a scrapbooking layout.

To create a cohesive design, I chose other round shaped elements such as enamel dots, transparent stickers and dotted patterned paper. The black and white paper squares in the background highlight the round shapes even more and let them pop out of the page.

Do you like round photos on scrapbooking layouts? Or do you prefer square and rectangle shaped pictures? If you haven't tried working with round ones, I challenge you to do so! :-) Make sure to tag Studio 40 and me (@jannawerner) on Instagram and Facebook when sharing your creations.

Have fun,
