Layouts with HERE&THERE | Marivi

layout

It's been a while since I've made layouts, so today I'm giving it twice. For both I've used the new HERE&THERE collection.

For both I have opted for diagonal designs.
Here I have created different shapes with dies, for the photo and the paper.

In one corner I have sewn a couple of overlapping papers and also diagonally I have sewn the paper in zig zag as an ornament.
With stamps and different ornaments I have completed the design.

For this I have used project life cards, which I love to use for all kinds of projects, not only for PL.

In the upper part I have sewn a couple of strips of paper, one smaller than folded in a corner, to create different volumes.

I have sewn the cards together with the photo diagonally and I have added different stickers and decorations.
Here with a colored pencil, I have drawn some simple stars, as painted by a child.

In the photo above you can see more detail of the sewn part and the stickers, chipboards, stamps...

I hope you like them and inspire you for your projects.
See you soon!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS | Sonja Voigt

Cozy time collection

Hello everybody.

I hope you had a few happy holidays with your family despite the difficult circumstances this year. And  maybe that's why we should look forward to the new year even more and say GOODBYE to the old year.

For me, the New Year always includes New Year's resolutions and, above all, reflecting on the moments and resolutions from the past year. And we always do this between the years. So we say in Germany.

For the new year, 2021, I immediately thought of 3 resolutions:

- FAMILY

- BALANCE

- SERENITY.

Do you have new year's resolutions for 2021 too?

For our little New Year's celebration in a very small circle of our small family (we are only 3) I made a small table decoration with the very magical COZY TIME collection.

I cutted 3 papers from the collection into a rectangle 3 inch by 7 inch. And another slightly larger rectangle as a frame.

Then I cutted two slits in the paper so that there was also room for 3 small sparklers.

With the word punch board I punched the 3 end-resolutions

on the patterned paper and glueded on a plain white cardstock behind it.

I punched out small twigs with a leaf punch and stuck them on.

And now I wish you all a happy new year and a fantastic new 2021 with a lot of serenity and balance among your family.

COZY TIME Lantern and NORDICA layout / Yukie Bessho

12x12 layout

Hello! I am Yukie from Tokyo Japan. Nice to meet you all!

I am very excited to share my very first '2' projects with Studio Forty,
using the latest collections; Cozy time and Nordica today.

Here is the paper made lantern with the gorgeous 'Cozy Time' collection. The collection represents the warmness, family, comfort and more. Then  I thought what if I make a lantern with the Cozy Time collection to literally light up my living room and warm up the atmosphere of it.

The lantern is made of three different pattern papers from the Cozy Time collection. Warm light orange/pink colours are sweet and sophisticated.

The lantern can be disassembled in three pieces. You can easily stick the beautiful journal cards from the collection, your own photos, kids art, any small memorabilia on the wall of the lantern. Also you can place a small fake cactus or a plant for making the lantern simple home decor.
(In that case, the LED light can be hanged from the top, up side down)

If you have a close look, you will notice the juicy shiny Cozy Time's beautiful 3D dots. I placed them instead of the real screws. I am very happy with how the stickers help the lantern look so unique.

On the back of my lantern, I made a pocket. Yes, so that I can place Studio Forty's note books! I would love to fill the notebook and set it on the lantern as a gift to someone special too! Wait for the inside of the note books, will come next time!

In case some of you are wondering the handle of the lantern, Yes! I made a cotton rope with my t-shirt yarn strings. Give a try, you won't find it difficult.

The second project is with Studio Forty's winter collection 'Nordica'.

I have made a 12 inches layout with lots of circles, stamp works, and stickers.

The photo I chose for the layout was my girl tasting the snow for the first time. Here in Tokyo it only snows little.  We had about 10cm of snow that day and the city was totally stuck. And ofcourse that means pure fun for the kids.

After doing gunmetal watercolor spattering on the 'Knitting' paper of Nordica collection, I have cut 16 little circles (2.5inches) from 'Aurora Borealis' paper,  distressed them, placed them in lines, and sew them. Left some strings hanging for the accents.

Stamped snow flakes. Very simple lines and yet very sweet Studio Forty's Nordica snow flake stamps are my new favorites!

I have cut out S N O W words from 'ABC' paper for the title. Adding some movements to the layout, I have hanged letter 'N' to swing for fun.

'Tasting' I wrote myself. Always fun to put something original in projects.

You can see I used some 3D sticker dots on the layout, too. They do the amazing jobs and make your project look so special! Don't you just love the colours?  Mauve colors are my very favorite.

So, this is it for my first blog. Thank you very much for checking in. I hope you liked the projects.I would be so happy if you leave a comment !See you next time!

GOOD FUN | Sonja

Bom Dia

Hello everyone.

I'm still very happy to continue with being a part of the new team and before we receive the new collections, I can't wait to hold them in my hands, I'll show you a project with the current collection BOM DIA today.

This collection is really so beautiful and versatile, I really don't want the summer to end yet. Don't you agree, that summer was far too short? I wouldn't mind if it was nice and, above all, warm for a few more days.

I have something completely different for you today, because the great papers are also perfect for making small gift packaging, for example for voucher cards or a few little things.

For this I used two different papers of the collection and punched them out with a pocket pillow die. But you will also find many instructions on pinterest on how you can make such a pillow box by yourself without having a die.

In the next step, I cut out the decoration parts from two more pieces of paper and attached them to the pillow boxes with adhesive dots and pads.

If you have a few pearls or sequins you should use them as decoration as well. I am sure you will find a few little things in your fund.

I hope you enjoyed my little inspiration. Now I wish you a good time and stay healthy.

Inspiration with Marivi

clear stamps

Hello again, I hope you are all well.
Today I show you two projects a LO and a TN page.

For this layout I have used a card from the "Astro Baby" collection and for the title I have stamped the word "Adorable" which I have later cut and sewn.

With a die I have made a label to layer and add different decorations. A heart die cut with a paper "Lunare" collection and a transparent sticker.

I have added several pieces of a lace and a pair of chipboard , what can you find here.

Here, I have used a paper from the "Hello World" collection I have cut two cards, one of them I have cut a circular window so that the photo is visible and I have pasted a transparent sticker.

On both pages I have sewn black around the cards.

I have pasted another sticker on paper and then cut it to place it with volume.

Here I have placed a label with the date and another sticker using the same resource as on the previous page, I have also added the thread that I have left over from sewing.

I have stamped both pages with green and pink stars, with this stamp.

I hope you like it and see you very soon.

Lunare Traveler´s notebook | Vânia Fonseca

journaling Hello crafty friends! Vânia here and today i´m sharing some inspiration in Traveler´s notebook using Lunare. I´m also sharing some ideas on how you can use PL cards in your TN spreads.

First let me show you how i decoarate the cover of my Journey notebook,  using just a clear sticker with an inspiring quote.

Tip - I´ve start by fussy cut different images from the 12x12 patterned papers. That way i´ve got my own ephemera pieces ready and i can just create my pages.

Let´s take a look at my first spread! The patterned paper full of planets was what inspiring me to create this fun page, with my own galaxy, mixing fussy cut images and stamped ones.

Tip - My first idea, on how you can use a 3x4 PL card is making a frame for your picture, that´s what i did in this first page. You just have to trim a square inside your card using a ruler and a cutter and voilá!

I´ve stamped my tittle, alpha stamps are always a basic that you can use again and again.

Another way of usin a PL card it´s to mat your photo, quick and simple, that´s what i did in this second page. I also fussy cut one of the quotes from one of the cards and use it as the tittle of this page.

Made two different embellisment clusters on this spread, one on the top right corner and the othe one on the bottom left.

Also used a couple of the small stamps together to create a small border in both sides.

For my third spread i cut out one of the 6x4 PL cards and use two stipes as if it was a regular patterned paper.

I also made a little pocket where you can store 3x4 PL Cards with more photos or hidden journaling.

To finish my page i always like to add some ink splatters.

And that´s all for today, i´ve hoped you enjoyed my tips on how you can use your PL cards in to your TN spreads! Thanks for passing by!
