Envelope Mini Album with Daydream Collection | Kathleen Graumüller

Hey there, it’s Kathleen (aka Scattered Confetti) here and I am excited to be invited as a Guest Designer on the Studio Forty blog! I had a lot of fun working with the beautiful “Daydream“ collection. The soft colors and the floral and botanical patterns are just right up my alley!

For today’s project I decided to create a small envelope mini album. It’s quite easy and quick to make, but I think it still looks pretty and it would also make for a perfect small gift. At the end of this post you can also find a video tutorial where I show you how to create the base for this album, as well as some embellishment ideas.

I started by creating five envelopes, using my We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 punch board. You can also use an envelope punch board, or look online for a template to use if you don’t own a punch board. My envelopes have the perfect size to hold 3“x4“ cards. I decided on this format because I wanted to tuck in some of the cards from the Diamonds/Cards paper.

For embellishing the album I used a mix of cardstock and clear stickers, as well as some stamped images that I fussy cut. The Bubbles stamp set is one of my favorites, because it’s so easy to cut out and you can choose between four different sentiment to put inside the speech bubble.

I also incorporated some ribbons from my stash to add to some of the cards so you could pull them out from the envelope (photo below) or the pocket that I created from two of the cards from the Diamonds/Cards paper (see photo above).

My favorite stickers from the Daydream collection are the flower stickers! I love the colors and the watercolor look of them, so I definitely wanted to use them in my album. To make them into die cut pieces that I could easily move around and layer, I stuck them to some white cardstock paper scraps and then fussy cut them out.

That allowed me to layer them and create some dimension by adding foam adhesive behind the floral cluster sticker. When you create an album like this, keep in mind that you shouldn’t add too much dimension because it will be very difficult to close the album in the end.

In the photo below, you can see how I used three of the stamp sets. Firstly, I cut another speech bubble made with the Bubble stamp set. For the label on the last envelope I used the Daydream stamp set, fussy cut it, and then added a clear sticker sentiment on top.

And finally the “you got this“ sentiment on the folded card comes from the equally named stamp set.

For this last folded card I also cut down a piece of vellum and adhered it to the center using one of the Paper Strips stickers and then added a clear sticker from the Greenery stickers on top.

This photo of our dog just cracks me up every time because you can see her little teeth as she is looking up (staring at a fly that she was too lazy to catch).

Below you can find the tutorial video for how to create this album and some of the embellishments I used in it. I hope you like it! You can also hop over to my YouTube channel and watch it there (and of course I would be happy if you subscribed to my channel, if you like it).

That’s it from me today. I hope you enjoyed this project! Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks a lot for stopping by! xo, Kathleen
