Memory Planner Double Page Spread/Nicole Martel
Happy Monday friends! This year, I decided to try something new for me... and that is creating a Memory Planner page each month using photos and stories for the month. Honestly, I didn't think I'd stick with my plan to create one each month, but I've been doing it since January 2021 and I love it!
I find it easier to work in the planner by first placing down the patterned paper strips and then add the photos. Once I have the papers and photos in place, I add all of the stamps and embellishments. Super fun!
When I'm working in my planner, I don't worry much about if it looks great... or if everything matches perfectly because I like the look of a junk journal and this is as close as I'll ever get to creating a junk journal. :) What do you think? Isn't this fun?!
I used papers from the
Lazy Days and Good Vibes Collection. I love the patterns and colors on this two page spread. It just screams SUMMER.
I used a variety of paper die cuts from the
Bom Dia and
So Romantic Collection. All of the die cuts are super pretty and I might have gone a little overboard with adding them all over the place, but I had fun.
I used the
arrow stamp to point to baby Henry and the
scribbles on page two with a few
sentiments. I used the
Alpha Stamp Set to stamp "Let's Celebrate" across the top and then colored in the images using alcohol markers. Next, I filled in the white space using the
sun stamp. So fun!
I punched the butterflies from the blue and white printed paper from the Good Vibes 6X6 paper pad. Then, I glued rhinestones to the center to add a bit of sparkle.
To complete this spread, I colored in the black and white flowers at the bottom using alcohol markers using similar colors from the embellishments. Have you tried this way of memory keeping? What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear them in the comments. Thank you so much for visiting today! Hope you have a fantastic week!
