Memories mini album | Jana

album Hello, it is Jana here again. I hope you are having great summer and enjoying the nice weather.

Today’s post will be about a cute mini album. As soon as I received the happy mail with the
collection ‘Good Vibes’ I knew I wanted to use it for something special. In May, the grandparents
came to visit us, so I put together all the pictures we took and made this little mini album.

The size is 3x4. I wanted to do a harmonica style album, so I went for a small size to make the most
from the beautiful papers. I love how it looks full and bulky.

Since the string would clash with the title, I used a little piece of Velcro for the album to stay closed.

The cover is made from a PL card with beautiful watercolour lettering. I just added some
personalized words and a few enamel dots.

Apart from the harmonica system I decided to put together a little book. This is literally sewn into
the system. A tiny book with baby pictures.

The cover of the mini book is decorated with these stamps. To understand how the mini album is
composed then please watch the video at the end of this post.

A few details of the mini book. As embellishments I often use transparent stickers.

And here comes the harmonica.

Again, I used handwritten PL cards and transparent stickers. When the two strips of paper were to
be glued together I trimmed the blue one a bit and made a little pocket for even more pictures.

Here is the other side of the harmonica.

I needed to add dimension and make it nice and bulky. So that I could easily use the gorgeous
buttons!

In between the harmonica and mini book there is a little pocket with another one-ring mini album. I
saw it in Paige Evans’ post and I had to try it as well.

Since I made the pocket a bit wider (by folding the sides) the album slides in it very easily.

All the lovely tags and memories.

I really enjoyed making this little thing. It was fun creating the pockets and other interactive
elements. I cannot wait to make more mini albums because... it is holiday time! The best opportunity
(and excuse) to make something small and adorable!

chipboards

Call me crazy, but I save every piece of paper, no matter how small it is!
Sometimes I get an idea for a layout, only because 2 or 3 little paper leftovers on my desk match perfectly!

I keep all those pieces and snippets in boxes, sorted by colours or paper collections.
And because traveler’s notebooks are much smaller than 12“-Layouts, you can use even the tiniest piece of paper perfectly!

In my last post I showed you a layout with a tag. Well – here is the rest of it:

And these tiny pieces of paper? Hm...

Altogether they are a perfect background for my photo!

Another possibility to use rests is to cut them out with die cuts.
Here you can see my new favorite paper for die-cut-letters :

I love how they turned out in this color with this ombre effect!

Finally I added one of those wonderful chipboards, I colored it with watercolor first. I used a shimmering color, so it turned out golden - that fits well to this little cute butterfly, doesn’t it?

At last I added some confetti – and here it is:

All papers are from the lovely Good Vibes Paper Pad (15x15 cm), the butterfly remains to the Chipboard-Set: Summer travellove - butterfly, the little transparent sticker on the left side: Sun&fun - transparent stickers.

See you soon,

Heidi

Be strong! | AgnieszkaD

AgnieszkaD
Cześć, tu AgnieszkaD.
Na dziś przygotowałam kilka stron w końskim PL mojej córki. W projektach wykorzystałam nowe naklejki motywacyjne. Ach! Jak one idealnie pasują mi do wydarzenia, o którym są te strony!

Na trzech kolejnych rozkładówkach upamiętniam start córki w zawodach konnych. Takie starty zawsze wiążą się z ogromnym stresem i napięciem. Dlatego tak fajnie zgrały się te mega dopingujące i inspirujące naklejki z zestawów BE MOTIVATED, BE POSITIVE i BE STRONG oraz stemple z mini zestawu BE HEALTHY. To świetny zestaw dla aktywnych osób!

Kit trawelersowy LET'S GO dziś posłużył mi za kit do PL ;)
Wybrałam pasujące kolorystycznie papiery, które należało przyciąć jedynie kilka centymetrów do wybranego rozmiaru, nakleić naklejki, dopisać kilka słów i karty do PL gotowe!

Natomiast naklejki przeźroczyste bardzo fajnie uzupełniają zdjęcia, uwielbiam ich w ten sposób używać!

Miłej zabawy z produktami Studia Forty!

W projektach wykorzystałam:

1 tiny stamp

Hello my crafty friends,
Today it is going to be all about 1 tiny stamp and endless possibilities it gives you to create stylish and modern patterns for your crafty projects.

You can find the stamp I am talking about in the stamp set called Sending smiles. I think it could be modern tree or just abstract object. In fact it doesn´t matter what it is -  I love it.
I stamped two rows of little triangles on my first card. No masking, no measuring, just plain fun with stamping

And of course fun with coloring. I think I have used my Zig clean color real brush markers to color these triangles in rainbow colors which is perfect for summer time.

I tried to capture the shimmer I´ve added to my otherwise clean and simple cards using Clear Wink of Stella. Great product ... or any other shimmer pen. Nowadays there are several companies which offer this product and they are all fabulous.

I stamped the rows of triangles on my second card, too. I have just changed the direction and went monochromatic this time. I really love bright colors but I love good old grey color as well. It looks like I´ve used big background stamp but it´s just 1 tiny stamp.

You could stamp your sentiment, but I have decided to use chipboard this time. I have heat embossed it with Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder by Ranger 3 times. It gives you really wonderful finish and shine. As my embellishments, I have used 3 large heart sequins popped up with foam dots.

And my last card for today. I am always trying to create some masculine patterns or cards. Sometimes it might be tricky, but not this time. Pure fun with super easy coloring. I´ve used my Distress Inks. Just press them on slick surface and pick the color with wet brush. Don´t be too careful with coloring. Brush strokes add great texture to this clean and simple design. Love the colors. If you wish you can create girly version or again the rainbow one

I hope you will try this funny little project. It´s great not only for card making but for your TN layouts as well as Project Life.
Have a great summer time,
Valeria
