Mini album suitcase tutorial | Isa

album Hello!!

I am so glad to be back in the Studio Forty blog! In today's post you will learn how to make a mini album with the shape of a suitcase to store tons of pictures from your holidays!

For this new project I have used the collection Hello World and some wood decorations and stickers from the same collection. I thought about the suitcase because this collection has a lot of drawings about travelling and discovering the world and a suitcase fits perfectly with it.

Besides the Studio Forty material I have added a white cardstock as the base of the suitcase and then I decorated it with the papers from the collection. It was quite funny to create this project as I am not very used to creating mini albums.

Inside the suitcase what we can find is an accordion mini album and a big pocket to store even more pictures. I have decorated some pages with drawings from one of the patterned papers.

So if you liked this project you can now make the same as I have made a video tutorial of it! You can find it below. I hope you like it.

I hope you enjoy your holidays and keep tons of memories to put in mini albums like the one I presented today. I hope you like it and I will be back very soon with new amazing projects!!

See you!

Isa

Album with one paper (Tutorial) | Isa

album
Hey there!!

Isa here and I am so glad to be back in the Studio Forty blog with a new video tutorial. Today I have started the new collection "Beautiful Life". I couldn't wait to start creating things with it! The papers, the elements, and die cuts! As a new complement to the collections now we have die cuts and I am thrilled because I think that they are an essential complement in scrapbook collections.

As a first project with the new collection I wanted to create something simple to compensate my last tutorial because I think it was a bit hard. So for today I have prepared a tutorial for making a mini album with only one sheet of paper.

As a base I have used a white cardstock paper and then I have used the TN inserts of the collection and some decorations of some papers to decorate the project.

I have used also some stamps sets of the collection because I think that the words match perfect with all the decorations and drawings of the papers.

Inside the project there are some pockets so we can insert some journaling cards or tags.

I think it is a very simple and beautiful project where you can insert tons of pictures and store them in a very small project.

When it is closed it is only a 4x4 inches project so it is easy to carry it everywhere with you to keep nice memories.

I hope you like the project and here you can find the video tutorial for this project.

I hope you put theverything into practice and that you create beautiful things with all the new projects of Studio Forty. I hope to be here back soon with new creations! Love,
Isa

Coptic Stitch Bookbinding (DayDream) | Isa

album
Hello everybody!!

It is great to be back to the Studio Forty blog with a new project! In today's post I am going to show you my new coptic book that I have prepared and also a tutorial on how to do it.

For this project I have used the collection DayDream of Studio Forty that has wonderful colors and great drawings. I love the color combination and the patterns of all the papers. To make this kind of project what you need is patterned paper, some wood covers (that I cut and painted previously), some white cardstock and lots of charms to put in the spine while the book is being stitched and a good thread for the stitching.

It is not an easy project, but the results are wonderful and making them kinds of relax me when I am stressed from my daily life. Preparing them is a process that requires some steps and to be careful when doing them.
You can choose to add more or less charms in the spine but for me I think that it is what makes this kind of projects unique. To add decorations that hang there and give these kind of books cheerfulness and volume.

If you do not want to miss how to create them, you can find below the Youtube tutorial I have prepared to do them. I hope you like it:

It is a bit long video but I hope it can help you to create this kind of project and get ideas on how to use the wonderful DayDream collection by Studio Forty.

If you have any questions or comments do not hesitate to leave them in the comments section! I hope to be back soon in the blog with new projects!! Lost of kisses! Isa

'Life is Beautiful' | Isa

daydream
Hello everyone!

This is Isa and I am very excited to be a part of the Studio Forty team. I am thrilled today to present you my first post here.

I have created this layout with some papers of the collecion DayDream by Studio Forty. I have played with three papers and I have done some fussy cutting to use the flowers as decorations around the picture.

I have used also some gesso and drops of black ink to give more color to the layout. Besides, I have stamped some of the flowers of the DayDream stamps collection to add more decorations behind the picture.

It is quite esential when you create a scrapbook project to use the most of the papers, for example, with the fussy cutting you get die cuts for your creations as I have made for the layout.

As the title I used also some stamps to make the frame and then I put a transparent sticker that is from the same collection, DayDream by Studio Forty.

To protect the paper from the ink I have added some white gesso before organising all the decorations of the layout so I can use the ink with water with no risk of breaking the paper. It is a very useful trick if you want to add some mix media elements to you creations.

Layers of papers behind the picture are also an important factor when creating layouts, as you can give volume to the photo and importance in the project itself.

I also stamped some words from one of the stamps sets from the collection DayDream from Studio Forty.

If you have liked the project, you can check the tutorial here in the video below. I hope you like it!

I hope you create wonderful things with the DayDream collection that it is so easy to work with! I'll see you soon in the Studio Forty blog with new projects! Love! Isa
