3xTri fold shutter mini album | Yukie Bessho

birthday

Hello everyone!

Let me share 3 x tri-fold shutter book.
Ever heard of a tri-fold shutter book?
Yes I combined three of them to make an album.

Studioforty’s new collection
Let’s party is so colorful and so much fun.

I have dug out some photos from my girl’s birthday party some years ago.
We had a clown and popcorn machine and lots of kids with laughters!

The front page is something unique.

The confetti and glitter gel window is hiding the sentiment of the card. You can wipe the gel to find out to see it. Which is fun!

I have also made some paper flowers and leaves from the collection paper.

Let’s party collection has some very good looking cakes.
These made me setting up a cake stand.
And I ended up two cake stands!!

Little windows, flips, pocket all help to keep the memories warm.
The album can be unfolded to be flat.
It’s another fun option!

HERE is the short video introducing the album!!

So, that’s it for today!
Thank you very much for staying with me!
I hope you liked it!
Have a very crafty day!

Roofed star book | Yukie Bessho

Don't grow up

 Hello everyone!

How are you doing on the St.Valentine's day this year? Hope you are all having a nice day.

Today, I would like to share my roofed star book / carrousel mini book  with the new collection; Don't grow up.

Let’s start from the bottom view.
This mini book is my favorite one.
I have made it with some types of pattern papers.
This time it’s baby- kids designed paper and it shows real well how much you love the one you place the photos.

I have cut out some patterns from the collection. Sweet flowers and stars.Perfect match for the little ones.

Tied with bow.

Front page with gorgeous dearly deer.
This page is particularly my favorite with ducks staring at you!!
The collection is very neutral in colors and suit any genders.
Absolutely agree with 'any genders'? Hope so!
Some more photos?
Lovely patterns!!

Note pages and mini year book in a hanging circle box / Yukie Bessho

camera

Hello there!  It's Yukie from Tokyo. How are you today?

Today I would like to share some note pages and an unique hanging box with very small mini year-book in it.

                                                             ***

So let's start with autumn note pages with Cozytime. It's rather odd to inform you first, but the photos are not from this year. That is why kids are playing together without masks!!

Pages are full of autumn colors, orange, beige, dark green, gray and brown.I have captured the coloring equipment in the picture. You might feel they are many, but I only did some very simple techniques, such as stencil, tracing, spattering, and I also just simply sprayed all over the page...Cut out threes from the 12 inches and Travel note pages, the camera, title also from TN pages.

You can see some words are from the famous Studio forty transparent stickers. They are absolute magic. You don't need to think how you write it. Just pick the phrase, and stick them anywhere you like.

Transparent stickers →Transparent So good! Transparent Cozy-home

On these pages, I used Studio Forty's beautiful hexagon stamps, They come in two different sizes and they did great job.

Hexagon stamps →Just Perfect Stamp set (Hexagon)

I added some very simple patterns by my handwriting. Such as tiny little circles, stars, dots, etc. You may also notice photos are decorated with the washi-tape like 'strip stickers'. They are very sweet and does a nice job making the pages colorful and adorable. ( also stable♡)

         Cozytime strip stickers →Strip stickers

The last pages I did most coloring spattering the water color. The quote of the pages is obviously the jam jars. Studio Forty jam jar stamps work great with outdoor photos, too. Memories are preserved in the little jam jars.
JamJar stamps → Homemade stampset (Jar)
To be very honest with you dear blog readers, I have hardly ever made any note pages, before. It was kind of scary to make pages so flat for a scrapbooker. But it worked so easy with lovely stamps and stickers. Simple coloring and journaling was also very fun.

I am going to place this notebook on the back of my lantern. ( if you are not sure of  my last post → Click here )

***

Now on to my unique work with Nordica collection.

See the little circle boxes? They size approximately φ3.5inches/φ9cm and 1.5inches/4cm high.

Boxes are made and decorated by all the Nordica collections. I made the little roses by cutting papers, and rolled them.

If you see the back side of the boxes, you see the twine going through. This twine works to help tie the ribbons properly, SO that you can hang the boxes on your favorite places, just like fireplaces, Christmas trees, or simply just on a wall or a door.

When you open the boxes, you will find tiny mini-books. They are bound by bellow folding and covered with plastic clear sheets which are sand-paper filed to pretend if they were the real smoky glasses :)

The mini book is actually a year book of 2020. I have adhered photos taken during the year though it was rather a tough year for photographing. Hmm, or maybe in a way, easier to pick the photos of the year. (because you don't have many)

Studio forty's stamps, label stickers and chipboard stickers help the mini year book  look super cute and meaningful! Such a tiny book, but has so much in it.

I have also made some small pockets for the tiny tags and letters and little trick to extend pages by brads, so that you can journal more to make the year book even more personal.

Thank you for being with me till the end. I hope you liked the works. Let's make something for fun to go through the rough time. See you next time!

COZY TIME Lantern and NORDICA layout / Yukie Bessho

12x12 layout

Hello! I am Yukie from Tokyo Japan. Nice to meet you all!

I am very excited to share my very first '2' projects with Studio Forty,
using the latest collections; Cozy time and Nordica today.

Here is the paper made lantern with the gorgeous 'Cozy Time' collection. The collection represents the warmness, family, comfort and more. Then  I thought what if I make a lantern with the Cozy Time collection to literally light up my living room and warm up the atmosphere of it.

The lantern is made of three different pattern papers from the Cozy Time collection. Warm light orange/pink colours are sweet and sophisticated.

The lantern can be disassembled in three pieces. You can easily stick the beautiful journal cards from the collection, your own photos, kids art, any small memorabilia on the wall of the lantern. Also you can place a small fake cactus or a plant for making the lantern simple home decor.
(In that case, the LED light can be hanged from the top, up side down)

If you have a close look, you will notice the juicy shiny Cozy Time's beautiful 3D dots. I placed them instead of the real screws. I am very happy with how the stickers help the lantern look so unique.

On the back of my lantern, I made a pocket. Yes, so that I can place Studio Forty's note books! I would love to fill the notebook and set it on the lantern as a gift to someone special too! Wait for the inside of the note books, will come next time!

In case some of you are wondering the handle of the lantern, Yes! I made a cotton rope with my t-shirt yarn strings. Give a try, you won't find it difficult.

The second project is with Studio Forty's winter collection 'Nordica'.

I have made a 12 inches layout with lots of circles, stamp works, and stickers.

The photo I chose for the layout was my girl tasting the snow for the first time. Here in Tokyo it only snows little.  We had about 10cm of snow that day and the city was totally stuck. And ofcourse that means pure fun for the kids.

After doing gunmetal watercolor spattering on the 'Knitting' paper of Nordica collection, I have cut 16 little circles (2.5inches) from 'Aurora Borealis' paper,  distressed them, placed them in lines, and sew them. Left some strings hanging for the accents.

Stamped snow flakes. Very simple lines and yet very sweet Studio Forty's Nordica snow flake stamps are my new favorites!

I have cut out S N O W words from 'ABC' paper for the title. Adding some movements to the layout, I have hanged letter 'N' to swing for fun.

'Tasting' I wrote myself. Always fun to put something original in projects.

You can see I used some 3D sticker dots on the layout, too. They do the amazing jobs and make your project look so special! Don't you just love the colours?  Mauve colors are my very favorite.

So, this is it for my first blog. Thank you very much for checking in. I hope you liked the projects.I would be so happy if you leave a comment !See you next time!
