Hello friends! Today it's my turn to show you the new projects created with the new "Herbarium" and "Frosty Season" collections. It is very difficult to say which of the two is my favorite; I love them because they are profoundly different but also so similar. For this post, I focused on cards and how they can be cut out to create new patterns and background.
Both layouts are in 30x30 format.
The first, made with the "Herbarium" collection, is a romantic layout in which I played a lot with overlaps to recreate the effect of a field of flowers.
Also in the second I recreated the same effect but trying to give more a sense of ice, like falling snowflakes.
What is your favorite collection? Can't you choose like me too? If you are curious, we are waiting for you on the shop and on the Studio Forty website to discover all the collections, the new stamps and embellishments! See you to next projects my friend
frosty season collection
Hello friends! I know it might be a little early for winter depending on wherever you live...but today I'm sharing a layout I created using the Frosty Season Collection. I'll be honest...I always have a difficult time scrapbooking winter photos!! I don't know why, but I do and I'm pretty sure this layout took me two hours to make. LOL
To begin, I cut the floral patterned paper to measure 8 1/2x11 and the snowflake patterned paper to measure 7 1/2x10 inches. I adhered them both together, placing the smallest cut to the center of the layout. I used the 6x6 sheet from the paper pad as a backing for the photos by adhering it to the layout diagonally.
I used a metal die to create the tag and colored it in with an orange marker to bring out the orange sled in the photo.
I stamped the snowflake onto a scrap piece of patterned paper and then fussy cut it using scissors. I colored in the center using an orange marker and then added the gem. I did this because initially, I stamped directly onto the photo and it smeared...so then I had to figure out how to cover my mistake. I used a clear sticker snow flake below the big snowflake. I wasn't taking any chances of stamping onto the photo again. :)
I created the little mittens and had using the stamps! Super cute! And fun to make... stamps are great for creating your own personalized die cuts!
I wanted a big title at the bottom...so I used some acetate stickers that I had in my stash. Then I added the chipboard.
I'm so pleased with how this layout turned out. It just scream winter!
For my next project, I'm sharing a planner spread I created for October using the beautiful embellishments from the Herbarium Collection.
I used a light purple alcohol marker to color across the top of the planner pages. Then I colored in the die cut vase using a burnt orange color marker.
I added a few clear stickers, chipboard and pieces I cut from the patterned paper into a fun cluster on the right-side spread. Super pretty!!
Now, I just need to start making plans for October! :) So far, there's not much going on except for the weekend I plan on driving to Pennsylvania to visit my bestie! We plan on going to a fall festival so I'll have to take some fall pictures to use with this beautiful collection. Thank you for visiting today!
cardmaking
Hello friends!
The upcoming holiday season is my favorite time of year, and I am getting a head start documenting memories using the new Frosty Season collection. The colors and patterns are so beautiful and can be used in so many different ways.

For this first project, I created a 12 x 12 layout documenting this lovely photo of my son enjoying the Christmas tree. I love the soft colors of the collection and printed the photo in black and white to keep it from clashing with my paper choices.
To begin, I used embossing ink with several powders to stamp snowflake images on white cardstock. After heat embossing each of the images, I applied silver and blue inks over the top to make them stand out more.
Next, I tore several of the patterned papers and adhered them to the top half of the page.
After adhering the photo to the cardstock, I selected several of the circle die cut ephemera and machine stitched them in place. Using pencil, I marked where the ornament chipboard and die cut pieces would be placed and stitched a straight line to that point. At the end of each stitched line, I adhered the chipboard and die cut ornaments, which makes them look as if they hanging from the top of the page.
To complete the project, I added more torn strips of patterned paper to the bottom-right side of the layout. To create the small title, I stamped "Little Things" and added a sentiment sticker below. Along the bottom of the page, I added a bit of hand-written journaling to document the story.
To complete the project, I added more paint splatters above the photo and clear dots (from my stash) to give more texture. They are difficult to see in the photos but add a little sparkle to finish the layout.
Next is a card I created using more elements from the Frosty Season collection. I love that I was able to create something with the collection that is not Christmas or winter themed.
This card came together quickly and easily using the matching patterned papers and embellisments. I love the soft tones.
While I used what may be considered a Christmas-themed collection, you cannot tell. In fact, I plan to pop this in the mail later this week for a dear friend.
Well, there you have it . . . two projects that are completely different from another despite being created with the same collection.
Thank you so much for visiting today, and I hope you've been inspired to create.
Have a great day!
herbarium collection
Hello everyone! Yeah! I am so excited to come back on the blog with a new article to share with you all using one of the amazing new collections from Studio Forty! It's the time of
Herbarium collection , a touch of vintage, flowers, soft autum colors, just perfect to tell my September stories.
From the words and phrases stickers to the travel notebook papers to the chipboards, to the journaling cards I have loved every single piece of this collection! Perfect to tell the stories of outdoors moments or stay at home memories ;)
This year I have thought to have a different approach to the Pocket pages stories, so I have dedicated an album for each month or so. Love to have at the end of this year 12 different albums with a lot of memories.
In the first spread you see I have used two 3x4 journaling cards, a 4x6 picture and a stripe of paper together to some die cuts with little phrases or word stickers. Love this kind of little accents.
In the second spread I added an instax page protector on the right, there I have added some chipboard frames and I cut the "&" 3x4 journaling card in a piece of 5x8 cm. Love how it turned out :P The stamps in each of my spreads have always an important role:) They add always meaning to my way to tell my stories.
Then the third and the fourth spread. Even if it's the story of a single day I love to add so many details and words, as many as I can;) The
embellishments and the
journaling cards of this collection made the storytelling so easy! Don't overthink and don't have rush to use all you have, my advice is to use little things that give to the pictures and the words the perfect way to be! I am completely in love with the soft and airy and delicate style of the
Herbarium collection.
The fourth spread has again two
3x4 journaling cards on the left side where I played with stamps and the fabulous flower die cut sizing them at my pleasure. At the end on the right 4 little pockets with pictures and
die cuts and papers.
This collection has stole my heart and I can't wait to use it again and again.
Hope you will be inspired to tell your stories it's so easy and simple and you will never regate about it.
Have a lovely September everyone!
Love, Lory

Bazą mojego albumu jest dostępna w sklepie tekturowa baza w kształcie gwiazdki z piękną, ażurową okładką, którą ozdobiłam brokatem i świątecznymi elementami die cut.
Tekturowe karty albumu okleiłam zimowymi papierami i pochlapałam białą farbką. Wydrukowałam małe zdjęcia - w rozmiarze 6x6 cm, dodałam kilka die cutsów, naklejek, chipboardów oraz napisów stemplowanych zestawem FUN&COZY.
Każdą z tekturowych kart po oklejeniu papierem starannie wykańczam. Najpierw przycinam nożykiem wystające kawałki papieru, a następnie delikatnie szlifuję drobnym papierem ściernym. Dzięki temu brzegi kart wyglądają estetycznie.

To wszystko na dziś, ciepłej jesieni Wam życzę!
Agnieszka
