coloring with blending

Hello my dear crafty friends,
today I have prepared for you easy way how to color your flower images.

Stamp few images with Versamark Onyx Black Ink and pour some clear embossing powder over it. This is obligatory step but I like the shiny effect it gives to my final images

Only thing you will need for this type of "coloring" is blending tool and few ink pads

I have tried to keep my centers white and apply ink only to the tips of my petals.

However it is very welcomed to apply more colors on 1 image / flower

I used different shades of pinks, reds and yellows so they would match together nicely on my final card

In this close-up photo you can see that I have used colors also around the centers. I love both ways

Of course you can use  white embossing powder for softer look and apply color only around the center, so the petals are white

It´s great to choose flowers and leaves that are easy to cut out. These are perfect for this technique

I just love the softness and summery look you can achieve

I have used Distress Oxides Inks only because I wanted to play more with them. You can certainly use Distress ink or any other pigment or dye ink. Anything

Once you start, it´s hard to stop. It´s so much fun and the results are so pretty. Definitely it´s very fast in comparison with coloring these flowers

Here is the question I would love to ask you:
Do you prefer light and summery look using white embossing powder or
contrast achieved with black ink ?
I can´t decide, let me know :)
Thank you so much for your visit.

I will link different flower stamp, but trust me you can use any flower stamp set you may have
