Christmas cards with Valeria
Hello,
It is Valeria - Nilla Crafts here
It is Valeria - Nilla Crafts here
In my first
blog post for Studio Forty I will
focus on creating Christmas cards with stamp set called Merry Xmas. I will show
you how to create different kinds of wreath with just one stamp set
Yes, all
you need to create beautiful Christmas card for your family and friends is just
tiny stamp of little branch ... and as you can see, this one is very loved :)
Card No. 1
Use any
green ink you have or color you like and stamp a wreath. I didn´t measure
anything, just stamp a circle. Start with a base layer and continue by adding
more. This time you will need just one ink color
I have
finished this card in my favorite and most loved style of creating called clean
and simple
Use red
nuvo crystal drops or red enamel dots to create clusters of little berries
Card No. 2
I wanted to
create a landscape card so I focused stamping on upper left side.
My goal was
to create illusion of branches.
Start with
one row, than fill the space with more branches and use different shades of
green
I truly
love the sentiments in this stamp set - the font is amazing
I have met
several polish crafty friends this year so Xmas card with greeting in Polish
language is always handy
Little
puffy stickers from my stash were great choice as an embellishment for this
card
Card No. 3
If you are
not in a mood for freehand stamping and need some guidance, this is the card design
for you.
Use your
die as a template for tracing the shape. I wanted something different, so I use
the oval shape. Please notice I didn´t want the whole wreath shape - just the
top and the bottom part
Follow the
pencil lines and stamp the branch over it. It´s better to use dark color.
Pencil lines would be visible under the light color of ink and it´s impossible
to erase it later
Continue to
stamp more branches in different colors and make it as full as you wish.
Once you´re
finished, don´t forget to remove the rest of pencil lines with eraser
It´s great
to have Christmas greetings in many styles
I love to
use little bells and jingle bells on my cards
Card No. 4
I have
created one more wreath on my last card but this time with different shades of
green.
Capture the
process of creating was quite difficult.
It´s impossible to create 2 same wreaths.
My advice -
relax, make a coffee or tea, stamp and enjoy the process of creating :)
This card
is finished a little bit different, let´s say nontraditionally.
I used my
Big shot to create circle window on my front panel and stamped the sentiment
inside the card
It´s
something different and unexpected
Few little
red gems are more than enough for this card as an embellishment
And that´s
all for today my crafty friends
Hope you
like my cards I have created for you
Let me know
in the comments below which one is your favorite ?
