Traveller´s notebook | Lisa Borbely

Hi everyone! Lisa here today with another quick page in my TN. I really am enjoying to create in this format and I am so happy that I decided to try it out this year.

When I got to see the Make today amazing stamps I fell in love! They are so good! I knew that I wanted to use that Note to self stamp on a super simple page about how nature always helps with a bad mood!

So I prepped my page with a piece of patterned paper on the lower half of the page and then used a piece of vellum for my "journaling" which is really only stamps.

I used the Note to self stamp as a kind of title. I love to do this and do it all the time! I stamped on a white paper and fussy cut the stamped image out with my sissors.

Here is an image of the vellum that I stamped on. So, vellum is shiny so you´ll need a really good ink pad. I know that people use the StazOn ink pad with shiny photos. I use the VersaFine inkpad and I get really good results. Althought this time it did take a little bit before it dried.

I like to use vellum for journaling, but I do have some problems when I get to attaching it to my page. I don´t like when the glue/tape shows through and I don´t always feel like sewing on my machine suits the page. So most often I attach it with a little bit of double sided tape so that I can hide it later.
What are your tips on this?

Here you can see how I used a few 3D glue dots to the Note to self image to make it a little higher and to stand out a bit more on my page. It is a super simple way to add dimension to any project!

And with that I leave you with a Note to YOU: get out in nature, you will feel so good!

Lisa
