Christmas cards with Flowers Stamp Set | Valeria

Hello everyone,
It´s Valeria / Nilla crafts again.
It´s a great pleasure to write my second blog post for Studio 40 Design.
Today we are going to learn masking technique and I will give you a tip how to create Christmas cards using Spring Flowers stampset

First let´s learn how to use masking technique on your cards:
Stamp a few big flowers on sticky full adhesive post it notes. There are also special masking papers or you can use ordinary printing paper with removable adhesive. Cut the whole image. You will need 3 flower masks.

Ok, let´s start. Stamp the first flower ...

... cover it with the mask ...

... stamp the second flower overlapping the first flower ...

... place the mask on the second flower ...

... stamp the third flower and cover with the last mask. Than stamp the leaves ...

... and here comes the best part - revealing the masks

I couldn´t help myself but large flower from the "Flowers" stamp set looks like a poinsettia

I colored the image with my Copic markers

It takes some time to color such big  image but it´s great relax

Second card will be very similar. I stamped the flowers in the upper left corner without the leaves

This time I used my Inktense watercolor pencils

These little poinsettias are so cute. I could color them the whole day

My third card is more colorful. I just wanted to show you also other flowers from this stamp set.
Stamp two big flowers opposite to each other.
Draw the horizontal line in the centre of the card and mark the middle there, too.

The pencil line will help us to stamp the sentiment straight using the "Alphabet brush" stamp set.
I like to stamp from the middle so it´s great to prepare the stamps in advance

Than just stamp and mask :)

I really liked the black´n´white version but I wanted to color it.
This time I used my Clean Color Real Brush Markers and chose bright spring colors.

I used the  Versafine Onyx Black Ink which is pigment ink so I cover it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. It´s so sparkly and beautiful.

Few more photos with details

That´s all for today
Hope you will give this technique a try
Have a nice day
Valeria
